106 mph winds here over the Needles last night

We took a battering too from Hurricane Katie and all the windows are frosted over with salt deposits, the electricity is out and the candles lit.  Boy Scout food cooked over a flame has sustained us and now candlelit Scrabble beckons. This picture is taken looking away from the huts from last night.  The rocks, known as the Needles,  are on the western end of the Isle Wight and there is a lighthouse at the extremity.  In the extra you can see how shingle on the beach has been thrown up and half buried some of the huts
