The Eyes have it

Out for a birthday coffee and cake with Gill, Stuart & Leanne this morning before I went to work.  We met up in the Aviary Cafe in Jephson Gardens and then went for a short walk, but as it was quite cool and windy, ended up in the hot house where every lens surface steamed up ..... we had the place to ourselves for a while before a family arrived and organised an Easter egg hunt, not an iPad in sight, no whinging and lots of laughter :-)

This plant 'stalk' caught my attention - and has become my blip for the day ... should really have written down what it is,  or photographed the name board!   One of Gill's experiments in the extra :-)

Edit: it is a Philodendron bipinnatifidum or Lacy Tree and the eyes are leaf scars, from SE Brazil.
