The evening of the first day..

... of the Routeburn track in New Zealand, two minutes away from our lodge where we stayed the night.
'The Routeburn Track traverses wild and scenic mountain country between the Hollyford and Dart Valleys at the base of the NZ Southern Alps'.
Day one was 12 kms and started fine but the rain set in and by the time we reached our lodge we were soaked to the skin. Still, it was absolutey beautiful and the 50 degree drying room was brilliant! 
The extras show a typical forest we walked through and 2 juvenile Keas who were around our lodge.
