Molly Malone
On our journey home from Ireland we stopped off in Dublin to do a bit of sightseeing it was raining all day so we decided to get the early ferry back.
(N.B. Never drive through the city centre we are still recovering from the trauma)
This statue of Molly Malone stands on Grafton Street
"In Dublins fair city
where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
as she wheeled her wheel barrow
through streets broad and narrow
crying cockles ansd mussels alive, alive, oh!"
