Cherry Tree Budding - Day 1

Thank you very much, everybody, for all the kind comments and stars over the past days! Much appreciated even if I don't get to respond to each lovely comment individually.

From my balcony I can photograph the branches of the cherry tree in in our yard. I noticed that lower down on the tree the buds have already opened, but the blossoms haven't reached the 4th floor yet.

I  used my Lensbaby Velvet 56 at f/5.6 and applied a light texture from the Flypaper Collection in the post processing.
