Slate Quarry

Had a lovely walk around Tarn How this morning, and then went on to Elterwater. We had another walk with some stunning views of the Langdales, but had to go through this working quarry - closed for Good Friday. There was a viewing platform which didn't seem that high until you saw how small the dumper truck was down in the bottom.  Walking back through Elterwater (village - not the lake) we met two Otterhounds. What absolutely gorgeous dogs, but sadly I didn't take a photo. The extra is one of the many glorious views from our walk.

We now have one very tired Airedale Terrier!
