Swimming in Lake Pearson

I had to use this picture instead of my intended one of Lake Matheson as blip said it was taken on the same day as Fox Glacier - must be the time difference.

After Fox we had a walk to Franz Josef Glacier then headed back up the coast. I'd wanted to continue down to Haast but Mr C wanted to drive over Arthur's Pass, which meant a long day of driving. However the roads were quiet and we made good time, and I was able to enjoy a swim in the surprisingly warm Lake Pearson. It had to be my shower for the day as we were freedom camping there.
