Their first time in a gi
Managed the work well today and was able to get away with ample time to get back to the apartment, collect the boys and their Granny and head to New Lynn for Class Nø 3 at the Chidokan Dojo. Kancho helped them to tie the jacket, and then put on the belt; we had arrived well before the other children.
I got them to pose. The first couple of shots were too much in shadow. This one worked because I used the flash. We then watched their progress. Both Young L (here looking intensely serious) displayed great improvement in posture, and in his following the moves. Mr H looks more relaxed in the photo. However, he was as intent as his younger brother once class began, and likewise got most of the moves right. He is better able to convert the mirror image of himself to move the right (or left) arm and leg. Young L tends to make the right (or left) limb of the mirror person move, rather than his own.
I was immensely proud of their attention, and their determination, and thence their improvement; despite a week off a week ago, because of being too tired.
ADDITIONAL: Congratulations to tsuken who received well earned and great news today from Kancho.
