Short of a blip I remembered as we passed today that this Post Milestone was still to be included in the short series so stopped for a photo.
A disappointment at the best of times I have to say that it is singularly underwhelming; its purpose decidedly unclear.as the lettering is so worn - the date of 1882 can be discerned but the mileage totally lost - and there has been a spillage or two of paint in the past.
Perhaps I should have made a point of waiting until the lighting was more favourable, but it is good to know that, even in this condition, it is still in place.
