Lessons I have learned through Blip

If you are going to take a group photograph, take it before everyone has eaten and drank to excess including the photographer.


Tony and Marie have returned from a long holiday in Cyprus. Last night the new Walking Festival committee joined with them for a farewell dinner at the Centre of Britain. It's not farewell because they are still leading and backing up on walks, but they have retired from the committee.

We had a great evening together. The food was very good but there was far too much. The wine flowed freely. I stayed at Maureen and Brian's which explains why this is a backblip.

Today was too full by half in other ways. Mum was still coughing a lot. Our GP fitted her into his afternoon surgery and sent her for an x ray. We just managed to go for that and get home in time for me to rush out to Haltwhistle. Skin of the teeth stuff. The GP phoned at 9pm to say that the x ray showed nothing nasty. We are so lucky with our practice.

PS My steak was wonderful.
