Newhaven sunrise

One of the more daunting features of my week in Newhaven has been the business of getting up at 6.30am to do the school run. This morning I was actually hauled out of bed five minutes before the alarm by the glimpse of vivid red beyond the curtains. This was the last we saw of the sun on a chilly grey day - but at least it didn't rain.

Not real rain anyway...
