They're ba..a..ck

We've been in sole charge of two of our grandchildren this week, a responsibility that came to an end when their parents returned, refreshed and cheerful, this afternoon. The girls have been great - wonderfully focussed during these early morning starts to school, and perfectly behaved in church and in restaurants - but the responsibility remained awesome. It's different when they're not your own children, somehow.

And so we're home again, and for a few nights the house is big and empty with just ourselves in it. But not for long ...
