From Santa Fe Hills

A day exploring the natural and commercial environments of San Marcos. A more relaxed start than of late, we were not out until gone 11.00am when we took Babe, Chris and De'Shaun's Brittany Spaniel, on a walk along the ridge line of the Santa Fe Hills that rim the city.

The Santa Fe Hills separate San Marcos from the Twin Oaks Valley and a good view can be had from the ridge of both areas and away to the west towards the ocean. I've been trying to identify the name of the hills in the distance but without success.

This shot is not in the same league as earlier in the week as we did the walk in the middle of the day which isn't the best time for photography! I thought this was a better choice of shot than stacks of toilet paper in Costo which was where we went in the afternoon alongside a visit to Walmart too.

Enjoyed a number of free samples of food in Cosco and purchased another large bottle of Bacardi rum which is a favourite of ours on a Saturday night.

This evening we went out to eat at Phil's BBQ in San Marcos. A kinda sports bar and restaurant, where you could have table service or get a self serve like at McDonalds. Good craft beers; Ballast Point Sculpin, a Nut Brown Ale and Karl Strauss Red Trolley Ale helped to wash down ribs, chicken, fries, coleslaw and huge onion rings.
