Book titles
The regular Friday visit to the gym and pool. A swim for me first, then into the gym for some weights and cycling. A visit to a builders' merchant afterwards to buy slabs to put in the greenhouse. We battled through Maidstone's traffic to cross town to travel to Millbrook Garden Centre for lunch and to finally finalise the design of Susan's studio.
As in all garden centres, there's a collection of cheap books piled high, the arrangement and titles of which made me think of Philosophy Friday, so that's today's blip. I like philosophy, not that I have the mental agility but I did like a couple of books by Gary Hayden: "Walking with Plato (A philosophical hike through Great Britain)" and "You Kant make it up"
Interesting soup for lunch - pea and ham tasty but quite an unusual texture. Scones were ginormous, a little toppled over but very nice all the same. Went to talk to the salesman about the studio and finally, well, hopefully, came away with the completed design - yet another change in direction. So far we've had a customised shed, then a summerhouse, then a log cabin, back to a shed and finally a modified summerhouse. I think that's all the permutations now. Mostly our fault but they didn't seem to understand what we wanted.
Laid the slabs in the greenhouse and fitted a few more panes of glass; almost completed now and not before time as we have seeds that need to go out into the greenhouse.
