A really bitty day. Loads of talking to people and getting things sorted out - but none of the stuff I had hoped to get done. For various reasons I didn't get away from Winchester until 7 this evening, before a 3 hour drive up to Nottingham. This was taken just before 10pm so the towers were in partial silhouette.

For the last few weeks I've been driving past this coal power station on the south west of Nottingham. Apparently it's the 18th most polluting in Europe, but does generate 2 GigaWatts of [power.

Somewhat ironically, the owners installed 68 panel solar panels "to help heat and light the admin block, saving an estimated 6.3 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year". Given the emissions of the station overall, this would have saved 0.00007% of the CO2 emitted...
