Lone Tree with Broken Branches

I have driven past the is tree regularly for 29 years and never previously thought to stop and take a photograph.  In recent years it has suffered from branch fall, yet the farmer has not felt it necessary to clear them from the base of the trunk.

Today, I had noticed how the clouds had started to become more interesting as the rain eased around midday, so when I saw the tree, I pulled over.  The scene was not as brooding as now seen in the final image.  A combination of Silver Efex Pro and a vignette in Lightroom combined to give it this feel.
