The Wild Olive Tree
Through in Glasgow for a couple of errands we discovered a lovely cafe, the Wild Olive Tree in the church of St George's Tron in Buchanan Street, open plan and where there is a real olive tree right there in the sanctuary.
Other delights we (re)discovered (in extra photos), a shop whose windows on all three sides, and wall inside, are covered with old sewing machines of every manufacturer; a detail at the southern end of Argyll Arcade; in Princes Square, a view of the escalators and a detail of the wrought ironwork.
The forecast rain did not appear until we were back on the bus and we were home and dry.
