Community Apples and Chutney

Along with about 40 other choppers, we cut up apples, while others did onions pears etc. The cook make two batches each of 6 huge pots of chutney. Other apples were turned to apple juice.
 Recipe 
Quarter the apples and remove any bad, put through a garden mulcher, collect into pillow cases, put the apple filled pillow cases into this press and wind the handle.  We all were given a bottle of pure apple juice and a jar of chutney

Not sure what happened to the many other jars  but it was a community effort and a great way to use those excess apples.

It was an enjoyable morning working communally.
