Spekes Mill Mouth waterfall

Today was a 9 mile walk from Welcombe Mouth to Hartland Point along the south west coast path. It was a day of poor weather, muddy ground but spectacular views. This photo shows the waterfall at Spekes Mill Mouth. The dark Carboniferous outcrops rising from the sea made impressive views as we trundled up and down the narrow footpaths. There were a few slips in the mud but not surprising given the conditions.

Once back it was home made cakes and then tea at the local pub for supper and skittles.
