Beth

She's here and we are all extremely loved up. We met halfway, at Glendoik Garden Centre for our rendezvous with our new family member. Probably the first time Dave and I have been to a garden centre and left without tea and cake. We left with something so much better.

Beth has claimed me, all of us in fact. Max is, ahem, too loved up....he'll be being booked in for THAT operation very soon. He has barked for Scotland tonight in frustration and excitement and is still whining at the door to get into the room, many hours of unrequited love. Meanwhile, Thumper is no doubt scunnered but he'll come round, he's too curious not to and Beth seems to be fine with cats.

Although very timid at first, Beth has shown sparks of her hilarious personality today and despite the unwanted advances of lover boy, she has burst out of her shell in the garden a few times and started playing tag with Max.

Thanks go to all involved in rescuing Beth, firstly from a Romanian shelter as a puppy, (Romanian shelters are extremely harsh by all accounts) then from her supposed forever home south of the border, which didn't turn out to be as safe as it first seemed. As she now turns 1 and comes to Wood Cottages, we hope she now IS in her forever home.

Admiration to Claire from Saving Romanian Strays, who has a patience and dedication few folk could muster....and still has 25 dogs waiting for a loving forever home RIGHT NOW and countless more still in the Romanian shelters waiting for a promise of adoption. Check out the web page and Facebook page. And then there's Mrs Murrays, always so many furry friends just waiting for adoption. Love costs nothing.
