Flower day

Lazy morning featuring mainly my book, my dressing gown and a bag of maltesers.  And in the afternoon a burst of admin, shopping, making a ladder shelf thingy for plants and a quick wander round the garden to look at the flowers.  The regular purple irises are being a bit shy, so here's one of the extrovert white and yellow ones.

And it's my actual birthday, so into the mix was a very happy amount of lovely presents, cards and e-wishes.  Best go and phone me mam now.

(One of the presents was the I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue book, with the best Uxbridge dictionary definitions.  We liked: Jacuzzi: French for "I don't know who did that in the bath"; and Norway: a surprised Geordie.)
