"Interesting" day today.

Rod and John were setting up to overboard the yellow room ceiling to cover the cracks.  While poking to find out where the joists were, we found that the plaster wasn't actually attached to the lath.  Having removed the ceiling rose, gravity took it's course.

Now I know why that particular electrical fitting was older than all the other bedrooms...

Meanwhile I continued the mattock-led encouragement of the holly to leave the rockery.  Eventually we also used Rod's jeep and tow-rope. There was quite a lot of root... (see extra)

Two new sets of guests arrived today - curiously, both being past colleagues; one mine, one E's.
