Château de Bannes

This is Château de Bannes which is in a prime location and can be seen for miles around. I took this shot from the roadside.

Today we ventured out into rural France to visit some pretty villages around the Dordogne region. Cadouin was a beautiful little place with some nice boutique shops and an art gallery. We chose to stop at a place called Beaumont du Périgord for lunch which in my opinion was the prettiest of them all due to the colourful paper streamers above the market square. I tried to capture this but unfortunately there were too many cars parked around the square to do it justice.

This evening were going to Château les Merles for dinner which I'm really looking forward to. It's our last night so we decided to treat ourselves. I can't believe were going home tomorrow. The week has flown over but it has been wonderful spending some time with B&K again. As always we've had a lovely relaxing time enjoying the local food and wine from the Aquitaine region.
