Brigsteer Woods
Today's the day ......................... to wander
I took my time returning home from my volunteering stint at Carnforth Station this morning.
I stopped to look across at Farleton Knott (see below) - a huge expanse of limestone crags, pavements and boulders situated on the eastern side of the M6 Motorway. And then instead of joining the Kendal By-pass, I wiggled my way through the village of Levens and on to Brigsteer.
Then I really started wandering lonely as a cloud - through the daffodil woods. It's the first time this year I have seen the small, wild daffodils to be found in abundance there - and they were as magnificent as ever .............................
