St Andrew's Kirk
It was a very grey and dull day until this afternoon when the sun made an appearance. Mum and I were having a cup of coffee when I looked out and realised that the old kirk opposite the coffee shop was bathed in spring sunlight. Of course by the time I got out the sunlight had gone again but I still managed to get some photos of this beautiful old ruin. First built in 800 it was abandoned in the 1400's as the sand, blown in from the beach kept covering it up. The beach is now nearly 1/2 a mile away! The church has recently been restored and repointed to make it safe. I love the golden stone.
