The Pantheon

We have already explored quite a lot of Rome after arriving this morning. The Pantheon is particularly impressive - it's amazingly well preserved for a building constructed between 120 and 124 AD. It's actually the third version of the temple, the previous two having burnt down in 80 and 110 AD respectively. Hadrian was emperor at the time of the reconstruction and very much involved in the project. He also did a nice line in walls!
