View from Waterloo Bridge

Set off, on advice previous evening, for earlier train due to the landslides which cut Scotland off by rail. However we arrived in Kings Cross only 15mins late. This is the view from Waterloo Bridge which I stopped and went on the pavement to take.

Traffic was so scary and still getting used to the balance of bike with panniers on I had to walk across the bridge the rest of the bridge as I was too scared to start off in case I wobbled in front of the traffic which was unwilling to give enough room for bike and panniers. Got to Waterloo Station and onto next train to Portsmouth where we got the ferry to Saint Malo.

There was another lady on her own touring too. We went through security and saw camper vans, cars, caravans and motor bikes waved through but Dave, I and the other tourer were stopped! Had to go through the Xray machine as did some of our panniers. Could not believe it - what did they think we were carrying.
