Nice day for a swim?
Possibly but not for me. This group of deer decided they had had enough of Ronaigh and wanted to cross to the main island of North Uist and so off they set. After about five minutes they made it to the other side. Can't see a huge difference myself but the grass is always greener...
We were out to our traditional stamping ground on the East side of Eaval revisiting the various sites in anticipation of the Historic Environment Surveyors arriving in a fortnight. A bit of heather clearing and general exploring revealed a few more details.
Dreadful terrain and so it felt that we have covered miles. An unexpected and very pleasant dinner invite arrived just as I was falling asleep in front of the television. We ended up putting the political world to rights until close to midnight. I'm not sure any of the arguments (plenty), proposals (few) or solutions (almost non-existent) will withstand the harsh light of day but he-ho.
