Freaky Fisheye Up at Figsbury Ring
Expecting delivery of one of those new fangled 'healthy' air circulating fryers, which they tried to deliver yesterday whilst I was out snapping pig pens from above.
Delivery was supposed to be from today onwards and tracking information is as useless as a string vest in a hailstorm. 'Out for Delivery' then turning to "Delivered" is not much use when trying to plan one's day.
So early bus out to Winterbourne Gunner, up the steep hill to Figsbury Ring, which Freespiral will get all excited about. I've snapped these trees before, their octopus like branches spreading out like tentacles against the lowish sun.
AH14 will find my use of the Samyang 8mm fisheye that she now wants, interesting too - if you hold the camera level, that distinctive fisheye bowl shaped dipping or rising does not appear and it appears level. It means that I could get a lot closer in, emphasising all those shadows and outreaching gnarled limbs. It was cold and very windy up here too!
Walked back down to Winterbourne Dauntsey (they don't make up names like these anymore, do they?) to get the bus back.
