On the run

Today I had to do a poster run for our up and coming ceilidhs. One of the places I went to was Craobh Haven. I turned off the main road, so far so good, then at the top of the hill the road turned into a cart track! Rut after rut, hole after hole, the entire road to Craobh Haven is a disgrace! I have travelled on better roads in the Sudan!
Craobh Haven is a weird place! Can't remember when it was built as a sort of marina village, think it was in the 70's. Anyhows today it has a huge amount of sailing boats moored there a few million pounds worth. When I asked an inhabitant who was in charge of this dirt track, they said it was between the marina & the neighbouring estate and they are meant to maintain it! well sorry guys but maintain it you have NOT! its shocking!
When I asked why no one in this pretendy village complained about this cart track, they said it would not be wise to do so as the marina seems to weild quite an amount of control over the place in the form of ground rents etc!. You would think with all the dosh they get from the moorings they could at least sort the bloody road! The same applies to the estate who advertise themselves for weddings etc! Where is the sense in all of this procrastination and lack of concern for the villagers! Yet another example of Scottish tourism gone to Hell in a hand cart.
Happy blipping all
