This newly discovered vegan cafe is the ONLY one in Kobe, which in a city of 1.5 million people, many of whom are Buddhist, is quite a surprising fact. I guess you could say they've cornered the market.

Only open at lunchtime and with five lunch options the menu is limited, however I really enjoyed the gumbo and my meat eating friend declared the oatmeal cutlet a triumph! There was also a particularly yummy strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Definitely worthy of a return visit.

Fingers and paws crossed for The Druids Nephew at Aintree this afternoon.
