Kitchen Cove, 10.54am, 9.04.16
We awoke to rain but the sun came out and the day was lovely. I nipped down to the Cove where all sorts of exciting things were happening. The man of few words was just returning in his amphibious vehicle having caught his morning quota of shrimps/winkles/scallops; and to the right a newcomer - Barney! Barney is a very bouncy labrador, well fenced in but curious - see extra. Max, the hairy collie, realised too late that I had been down on the beach and looked forlorn as I passed him on the way home.
Other than that, we've been clearing around the polytunnel and moving massive piles of brambles from one spot to another. Chirp thinks this is wonderful and is either rootling at our feed or warbling incredibly loudly above our heads. Mrs Chirp can occasionally be spotted rustling in the bushes, but she's getting her fair share of mealworms.
Life in the fast lane, eh!
