Prima Donna Primrose!
Regulars will recall little Primrose, who is not getting any littler, these days.
As granddaughter to my friend Jonny, niece to newlywed Kate and (I get so muddled!) to good friend Luke (one of Jonny's sons)
Anyways, whilst Primrose's parents take a well deserved spa weekend break, Jonny and his wife get custody of the delightful, attention-seeking little Madam.
As official photographer to Primrose, I manhandled my 70-200mm f2.8 Sigma in their back garden this afternoon, before the rain came. Jonny was most proud to have invested in a big plastic green and blue slide, which of course, Little One slid down - and down and down - always remembering to look up at me - and the camera. She sure knows how to manipulate her media - she'll have a modelling agent soon!
You can see the remnants of home-made cookie on that chubby chin of hers - she had also squealed in delight at her granddad showing her a bright yellow snail he had unearthed, she had put clothespegs back in the peg bag - and she even had "killed" her very own grandfather with a plastic toy. All caught on camera, all played up to the full by both murderer and murderee.. (Oscar worthy)
Naturally, it's difficult to choose just one image and I have to be careful which one as it is someone else's four year old. I chose this one as whilst I had many with playful eye contact for Primrose, this possibly had the nicest most complimentary background.
However, I could NOT resist including as an extra, (unedited) an out-take, one of the spills from the slide sliding! She was not harmed of course and was immediately up again, laughing and running around. It did prompt me to make a joke to Jonny that we had recently treated his lawn for moss - "thank goodness it hadn't worked!"
