A loon!!!

I know it is not the world's greatest photo but I have never seen a loon before.this was a surprise.Went looking for hawks and the eagles up at the Whitney Point Reservoir  and the only thing on the whole lake was this loon ,happily swimming around about a third of the way across the lake. It's a common loon, the usual range is north of here,more common in Canada and New England . I hope he doesn't spend the rest of spring as a lonely loon! The nesting eagles handed off nest duties while we were watching, though I didn't catch it on camera.
