In the deep dark piney woods....

Today was another of those cloudy , cold days , but we went for a walk anyway.This time to the Pa state forest near Great Bend again. It may have been due to the cold weather, but we didn't see any birds except for some bluejays and chickadees at the edge of it. It was incredibly silent. The only other thing we saw was a deer at a distance leaping into the underbrush. Lots of little streams and the ground was fairly marshy. There was moss and lichen every where.
