Hawaiian Bird!

Six of us did a self guided tour of one of the fine botanical gardens on Kauai today and we're pleased to see this rare something ( very Hawaiian sounding name) -there are maybe 1000 in the world. Love his red and yellow beak and yellow feet.
I think Fiona spent 8 hours in the water..either the pool at our rental house or the ocean -- she's tireless! At the beach this afternoon we all did some snorkeling and the kids spent ages on those boogie boards - the extra is Tatum and Nik on boards and Fi under water ( with her mom) . They are having so much fun! Also saw a monk seal and sea turtles...one almost swam into Fi. A very fine day ending with a fabulous meal OUT! So many photos including lots of flowers(!) will have to wait for a Flickr set.... I'm off to bed..
