Sarge & Breaha

These are my two charges and they're a delight. I was warned that they'd pull in their leads when out a walk but they seem to understand my limitations and have been as good as gold - so far at least

Sarge is a basset crossed with a French Bulldog and Breaha is a pure Frenchie. They both snore loudly and I can hear them from my bedroom even although there are two closed doors and a hall in between

Apart from the dog walk I didn't venture out today. I've been a bit shellshocked - my best friend's stepdaughter died suddenly in the early hours of this morning. I've not got a mobile signal which has meant disjointed communications. I've realised today again how isolating it can be without modern communications

I've been thinking of Kate a lot today. I first met her as a teenager and in the 30 or so years since then she's had to cope with grave disability and immense pain

And it's 30 years to the day since I moved into my apartment! I never thought it would be my home for 3 decades

I've been looking back through the decades today - for both sad and happy memories
