Station Hotel

Carrying on with my pictorial trip around this buildings architecture we come back to the front entrance. Here we can see how the red ashlar sandstone is begining to erode due to lack of maintenance. The marble columns either side of the main entrance are beautifully capped with intricate carving. Looking inside the vestibule you can just see the fabulous tile work, the details of which I will be showing you over the next few days.
