Last autumn we ripped out the big buddhleas that were really overpowering the garden terrace.  You had to fight your way through them to get to your dinner!  So, today, I concreted in some fencing posts that will carry low, interlaced fence panels (actually, before I did the concreting we went out with the trailer and got all the materials and then I dug all the holes, so all in all it was a full day job).  The panels will cut the wind and give a good surface for climbers to grow up.  We covered up the fresh concrete against possible rain.  Just as well.  As I write this we are having a thunderstorm!!
