In kneed of some support
I injured my right knee a few months back and the pain has been gnawing away ever since. Any sane individual would rest up, but not being of sane mind myself I have recently been caravanning, gardening, digging holes for fence posts and shovelling loads of concrete. As a result, walking has come to resemble hobbling. So, we drove up to Brive and purchased a stout knee brace which ought to keep me from bending the thing in the wrong direction while it tries, against my best endeavours, to heal itself. In other news, Pilou, a near neighbour's dog, has been massacring chickens once again. Why anyone keeps chickens and a hunting dog in the same territory is beyond me. Pilou occasionally pounces on the poor wee things and, today, was again seen running gleefully down the road with a mouthful of limp fowl, feathers flying everywhere. Hard not to feel sorry for the chicken. Hard not to feel sorry for the dog once his latest misdemeanour has been found out!
