Singstar

We were at a formal dinner last night so today is all a bit "morning after". MrsCyclops is pictured here playing SingStar with a friend we have staying.

I was taking an opportunity to mess around with off-camera flash using radio trigger and bouncing it off the roof - I'm pretty pleased with the result. I only wish I'd got a decent photo of her last night because she looked a million dollars in her new dress!

At the dinner I had been asked to take the group shot, which I has to be in too. I just used the camera on a tripod with the flash on the hot-shoe so I could let it TTL meter, and used an IR remote to take the picture. It worked out pretty well. 77 and I had been thinking of putting a couple of flashes on stands with diffusers and doing it "properly" but he'd had a lousy day and we decided to KISS - "Keep It Simple, Stupid!" and get a reliable result even if we could maybe have done better with a bit of playing. Anyway, it left more time for drinking! Between myself, the wife, 77 and Graeme there was quite a blipper contingent there!
