Forsythia Calling

Forsythia calls to Flowering Currant,
"Coo-ee, Pinkie! Can you hear?"
Flowering Currant loses focus,
"What's that? Can't quite hear you, dear!"

"Spring has sprung!" cries bright Forysthia.
"Listen to the singing birds!"
Pinkie thinks awhile and whispers,
"Well, my dear, I'm lost for words."
