Day 41 - Cape reinga

As this wasn't included as part of my trip I went on a day trip there to say I have been to the most northan part of New Zealand and it is also the only point where the Tasman sea and the Pacific ocean meet. Porridge at 6.30 argh, boarded the bus at 7.15 and our driver was called Willy he was hilarious I just couldnt handle him at that time in the morning I was in stitches and he was a brilliant singer. We drove through kittikitti which in maurae means 'dig' and it was full of vineyards. Breakfast stop was in typo 'first touch' as the English man that discovered the North of New Zealand captain cook, it was the first place he touched. There was a pure white long haired husky dog it was beautiful! We drove right along 90 mile beach after doing 7, 360s on the sand in the bus! It was hilarious!!!! Willy kept going round and round in circles and another tour bus just looked at us laughing. Proper belly laughed haaaa was so funny. Was so strange driving on the sand in a huge tour bus. Sand body boarding!.... AMAZING we walked to the top of the highest sand dune, jumped on a body board and came flying back down it was such much fun. There was another tour group there with Chinese people who wanted to take photos and they had wandered out onto the track and very nearly got took out by a sand boarder - would have been a good you've been framed moment. Had our lunch at taupotupotu bay, very choppy. Cape reinga - very very beautiful, hanging off the end of New Zealand! Seeing both seas meet was strange and the night house was very cool. Stopped for fish and chips at whangaroa, I didn't get any, what fish and chips shop have fries haha?! Last stop of the day was haruru falls looked like something from a movie. Long day but totally worth it, shower, rice and bed :)
