Milking time

Today we were herd testing, so after school I came home, changed out of my good work clothes and got into my old farm clothes and overalls.  We started milking at 5.30pm, and by the time we had finished and cleaned up it was dark.

We do 4 herd tests each season, and this is the final one to be done.  We have about another 4 weeks of milking before the cows are dried off for the winter - and no doubt they are looking forward to not having to walk to the shed each day!
