Beaches and family
Edit: the WBC is "Values"...things in life that are very important to one. So I will have to choose the family from this past week in Kauai. NO I didn't take the photo but I set it up here on a rock when a kind person came along to push the shutter, and I did try to lighten the shadows just a little after we got home...
Still very windy, rain in the night. ( we're glad we are not out there on a sailboat) So today our 2 cars took off for the east and north side of Kauai... Checked out a few waterfalls, then a coffee/snack/shopping stop before finding Secret beach... A 10-15 minute trail down to a pretty secluded gorgeous spot where we had a picnic lunch but didn't dare venture out into the surf very far. After that we went to Anini beach on the north shore where it was very swimable because of a protective breakwater, but not many fish to be seem.( but Nik and Tatum had a great time looking...extra) Windy, cool and a bit of rain. Then to Hanalei for ice cream and checking out that lovely bay... A shark had been sighted there earlier and it had the biggest waves and surfers of all. Son E and d-i-l A spent their honeymoon nearby. Home by 6:30 and the kids are in the pool before we got our act together and decided to go out for excellent pizza in Koloa which made for a late night. So all I can do is post the Hawaii family trip photo from Secret beach. I had set the camera on a rock with the timer but it was so hard to see in the light that when a rare person came along they were happy to take this .. and actually, for a pleasant change, had an eye for it. This is the Kilauea lighthouse in the distance. Lots of other great memories and photos will have to wait ..I have to go to bed.... A very wonderful day.
