Flower Friday: Skimmia

We had a very pleasant lunch with friends today; one of the advantages of being retired! We drove through the Woburn estate on the way back and there were some deer fairly close to the road but as it was raining hard and there was a queue of cars behind us desperately irritated by the fact we were sticking to the 30mph speed limit we didn't stop. Instead, this is a flower head from the Skimmia bush in my front garden; it is coming into bloom at the moment is is incredibly fragrant.
