Cowrie Shell Study

Not much chance of getting an outdoor picture today in this rain. I noticed this cowrie shell in the shed yesterday. Nic brought it back from South Africa last year, but it had the most evil pong, so it ended up outside in the shed. It doesn't seem too bad now. Shells were used as money in some parts of the world many years ago. I wonder what I could have bought for this shell then.
