Tatler's Roundabout

Named after the nearby Tatler's Farm. The thatched farmhouse remains, but the farmland is a distant memory. People look at all the houses and say "I remember when this was all fields!"
This was also the first tall lamp post to be installed in Stevenage. I was driving buses when it was put up and we thought it was like daylight. That was about 1983. I have sat waiting for a job on this roundabout for 26 years. The only day that was tricky was when the egg man showed up on a Saturday morning. He was very popular. He always had a queue of customers.
