The Best Things In Life Are Free

Due to absence, I've been the sole administrator in the office this week, all phone calls are mine, which is maybe not the best thing since my only answer is "200 metres" and that isn't always the right answer.

I had lots of lovely phone calls today, I find the best approach is to tell everyone that I know nothing, but I know a man who knows something.   People are good when you do that.  Honestly, always the best policy ;-)

Then my boss came back, he's been away all week, busy, busy, somewhere else - and next week he is off somewhere else too, and he needed more numbers, more graphs, so I got all the end of week stuff done, and then started working on his numbers.

I think my head was already shut down - I was having Spreadsheet block.  I could not make a graph do what I wanted it to do.  Eventually I got there.  Eventually.    I left, and he was still there,  and we were both last to leave.

I drove into the town to see himself, cause he had already left to do Scouts.    We had a tiny catch up in the car and he advised "wine and feet up".

But I went to the harbour for a look.  Such a lovely, lovely evening.   - there were two weather fronts, heavy cloud, sunshine, fluffy cloud, shadows, brightness. it was amazing.

The air was so clear I could see 75 miles West, and 75 miles North - I could see Ben Lomond to the North, and then over as far as Jura to the West.   I could have sat all night.  Jura looks like it was perching above the water.  (see extra).   There was even a flipping seal in the water, it was perfect.

A wee trip round to the harbour, there was so much seagurl activity, I wanted a wee look there - see other extra photo.

And then I drove home, and along the north shore, I glanced enviously at the new Flats and the beautiful view of the sunset they would be having, and I thought, I gotta pull over again and have another watch...

and that is when I got this one.

I adore the sea, and the sky and the set...

I do I do.

I can't get enough of them, I'm glad there is one every day.
