On the Sunny Side of the street

Yesterday and today we have spent lots
Of time at the allotment! Weeds keep growing and it doesn't seem to stop no matter how much i pick up.

Yesterday i was delighted when a fellow
Allotment holder passed by and gave me about 10 Brussels sprout plants... the ground was turned and carried compost added and they were planted.

Today despite the forecast saying 'sunny with cloudy intervals'. It was pissing down within seconds of us getting in car; but clear when we arrived (less than a mile)...

Several times we had to take refuge in the polytunnel which was lovely - but not only was it pouring while we were in there - it was howling gales too.

But when we finished, he had dug two
More beds over. Covered the path with bark, Pulled weeds from the second big bed and sorted wood out for borders.

I worked on my flower bed pulled out a bucket of cow grass, added half a bag of compost and planted deliahs. I've got three other types and all my wild flowers too!

I also added the beautiful windmill.
